Healthcare IT consulting firm announces expanded service line and new VP to bring cellular and wireless access solutions to hospitals and healthcare systems

Bainbridge Island, Wash., April 9, 2020—Health Systems Informatics (HSi), a healthcare IT consulting firm, is pleased to announce an extension of services with the launch of their In-Building Wireless Solutions program.  Through the use of design services and applicable hardware systems, HSi can now help to improve cellular coverage and wireless service satisfaction for providers, patients, and visitors.

HSi collaborates with healthcare organizations seeking continual advancement in patient care through the enhancement of their systems and processes.  Realizing this objective moves beyond the work of the EHR and into accessibility, HSi is eager to assist hospitals and health systems in the goal of ensuring all members of the hospital community have reliable access to cell service and wireless capabilities from anywhere on the hospital campus.

HSi’s Executive Vice President, Scott Generazo, expands, “These in-building solutions for both cellular and wireless technologies help support our clinical core services by enhancing care coordination of staff, allowing patients to communicate with caregivers and loved ones, and increase consumer satisfaction in the healthcare setting.”

With the launch of the In-Building Wireless Solutions service, HSi would like to introduce Jason Hawley as Vice President of Communication Network Services.  An industry veteran with over 18 years of experience in wireless communications, Hawley has an established history of success and satisfaction from his numerous clients. His enthusiasm and drive are apparent as he strives to bring reliable access to everyone working, staying, and visiting within a healthcare facility.

Prior to joining Health Systems Informatics, Hawley served as the Vice President of Embedded Products and Devices for Radisys Corporation, a global leader in open-source hardware and software solutions. His previous experience includes serving as the Executive Vice President of Mercury Networks, a leading 4G Base Station manufacturer and CEO of Ocean Wave Networks, a wireless networking integration firm specializing in in-building Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and indoor/outdoor Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) systems. During his time there, Hawley led over 60 wireless integration projects across healthcare, hospitality, government, and commercial markets, while establishing himself as a premier in-building solutions partner and provider for manufacturers, distributors, and customers alike.

“With the recent advancements and proliferation of 5G and WiFi-6, the need by Healthcare providers for high-quality, robust, and reliable in-building wireless connectivity has never been greater,” says Hawley. “This new in-building wireless solutions line is a tremendous complement to our already rich set of consultancy services and provides yet another channel for HSi to partner and support our clients with their next set of challenges.”

Gerry Bartley, HSi’s CEO, concludes, “I have known and worked with Jason as a business partner for over 10 years. He has always delivered and exceeded expectations. I am very pleased that he has joined HSi on a full-time, permanent basis and look forward to continuing our growth in wireless and cellular services.”
